2006-07-26 Firefox Extension Backup Extension

Der Name der Firefox Extension Backup Extension ist ein bisschen "Extension"-lastig aber ansonsten ist sie gelungen.

Dieses Stück Software ermöglicht den Export (und natürlich auch der Import) von:

  • Firefox Extensions
  • Einstellungen
  • Bookmarks
  • Cookies
  • Passwörter
  • Such-Plugins
  • Verlauf
  • etc.

Ein Großteil davon kann Google Browser Sync auch, bis auf eine (sehr wichtige) Kleinigkeit: Die Extensions. Auf jedem meiner Rechner (je 2 im Büro und Zuhause)Â synchronisiere ich fröhlich den Browser nur die Extensions muss ich jedem erneut suchen und installieren. Mit der Firefox Extension Backup Extension ist das jetzt endlich kein Stress mehr, denn die Extension kann aus allen bereits installierten Extensions die .xpi-Dateien rekonstruieren.
